After this event, I can honestly say that I can handle just about any thing. They put me at a table with the 3 couples that I despise or dislike the most in our battery -- how amusing! Pat me on the back, because I handled the situation amazingly TACTFULLY and RESPECTFULLY. What a shock to me & 1/2 the world, because I am shocked that I was able to handle it in such a manner that even my husband was impressed with. (not to meantion the gossip queens.) He was worried there would be a major issue after he discover who we were sitting with.

Bottom line, my hair matches my personality ... never mess with a red head. Cause if you do ... you are really extremely BRAVE or pretty stupid. Mine color fits me though & through -- fire. One incident occured with one of the medials that I have ... it upset them because I wore it with extreme pride & how I describe it. I earned it from busted my butt. I got it and the Molly Pitcher. I am extremely proud to have them both, I wore both. I told them that the unit who presented it to me said this was right under Molly's award -- guess they didn't like that. (waaa LOL) Second incident occured was when a wife came to me with GOSSIP ... I heard several things from others. "Hmm, really?" Yawn ... I am so sick of gossip. IF I had time for it, then I would have walked up & said it to your face! I told her she could call me IF she wanted to, but with my work schedule there is a chance that I may not be home because I am at work a lot. She could check with a few others who know me to verfiy that if she wanted to. (rolling eyes) Sorry but I am over 30 & have had enough gossip in the last few month concern myself. I don't need some fool coming to me because supposidly I said something about them. Get over it ... I have children, a husband, a job, medical issues ... & and damn time for this BS.

Now, how did the ball go? Well, there were no glasses, instead were were given coins. Some one errored. But all in all they did really well. We have to teach the younger genation what FORMALS are, cause they don't know what they are! But the unit who did the ball did great. Those who attended ... they need to learn how to dress, what is acceptable & NOT acceptable (NO FLIP FLOPS -- assult & battery is a no no!). Those of us who have been to balls did good ... & we need to TEACH they younger upcoming couples. Or our future St Barb's Balls will be horrid! But all in all, I had a great night ... even got a great pic of hubby & me. I love it cause I dropped a little bit of weight, & it shows!
