Counting down the days & still not a lot can be done ... that is what you always thing. But explaining it to children is another thing. Just how do you get them to understand that you should spend as much time with the leaving parent, they thing the world will stop & give them the time they need.
Lucky for us, it's only for a period of time. I would hate to have to say it was for ever ... their hearts would never get over it. Last time was hard enough, but they bounce back. Then again, my kids always do.
I just wish once time they would take the time to spend more time ... because you know there is always a chance, but you don't have the heart to tell them that.
